Allmänt om att vara Fodervärd

Ibland söker vi fodervärdar till kattungar.

Vi anser att katter inte mår bra av att hållas i för stora grupper.

Varje katt är en individ och ska må bra och vara lycklig. I stora kattgrupper är det lätt att det blir osämja och någon katt stöts bort och eller blir mobbad. Stressen ökar enormt mycket och risken för sjukdomar ökar. Vi ser till att katterna är lugna och harmoniska. Det är A och O i vårt avelsarbete.

Varje katt har rätt att vara nr 1 och få all kärlek den behöver.

När vi söker fodervärdar så är personkemin väldigt viktig. Jag har haft ett par olika fodervärdar varav nu sist till en hane. Detta par har blivit mycket goda vänner till mej / oss.

Att vara fodervärd är ett stort ansvar och inte bara en "gratis katt". Vi jobbar endast med halvfoderavtal.

Vad krävs då av dig som vill bli fodervärd?

Vi ser som ett krav att du bor i Stockholm, gärna den södra sidan.

Du får inte ha fertila katter av motsatt kön. Risken för tjuvparningar är stor.

Du får heller inte ha alldeles för många katter hemma då man hamnar i exakt samma situation som vi ville undvika.

Vi ser gärna att det finns utställningsintresse men det är inget krav.

Du som fodervärd står för kattens dagliga kostnader. Mat, pellets/sand, leksaker, klösmöbler, den årliga vaccinationen mm. Vi står för alla kostnader som har med avelsarbetet att göra. Du ska oxå ha möjlighet att samarbeta med oss vad gäller transport. Tex om du bor på andra sidan Stockholm och katten ska HCM scannas hos vet så kan vi kanske inte åka härifrån för vet.besöket och sedan hem igen. Du måste alltså ha möjlighet att samarbeta och då åka med katten på inbokad tid. Gällande tider så pratar vi givetvis om det innan så det passar dej och dina arbetstider etc.

Vi skiver utförliga kontrakt som skyddar både dig som fodervärd och oss som uppfödare. Varav vi får varsitt underskrivet ex.

Till honkatter söker vi i första hand fodervärdar som har erfarenhet av kattungar och allt runt omkring och som har möjlighet och viljan att ha kattungarna hemma hos sig.

Men vi har då som krav att du bor inom max 3 mil från Tumba / Botkyrka då vi vill kunna finnas till hands dygnet runt.
Vi vill givetvis oxå vara med vid förlossningen.

Till hankatter har vi inte lika höga krav när det gäller området av ditt boende då en hane inte föder sina ungar, men det är önskvärt att man kan ta hem en hona för parningen när det är dags alternativt att du kan åka med hanen till honan alternativt komma med hanen hem till mej.

Men man måste veta att med hanar är det oxå lite pyssel. Dom kan bli könsmogna tidigt och ropar efter tjejer. Vissa mer, andra mindre. Har man otur så kan dom börja markera inomhus.
Då jag vet av erfarenhet att det inte är speciellt roligt om detta skulle inträffa så finns alternativet om man så skulle önska att man kastrerar hanen och du betalar mej resterande belopp som han skulle kostat från början.

En hona jag sätter ut på foder har jag som uppfödare rätt att ta 2 kullar (med minst 3 levande kattungar vid leverans / kull) inom loppet av 3 år, så efter max 3 år övergår hon helt i fodervärdens ägo och alla papper skrivs och stamtavla överlämnas.

En hane jag sätter ut på foder har jag rätt att ta 4 kullar (med minst 3 levande kattungar vid 6 veckors ålder / kull) inom loppet av 3 år så efter max 3 år övergår han i fodervärdens ägo och papper skrivs och stamtavla överlämnas.

Det är alltså ett stort ansvar att vara fodervärd.
Så man bör tänka igenom sitt val noga, det är inte bara att man tar en billig raskatt.

Man som fodervärd måste oxå se till att katten oavsett hona eller hane finns tillgänglig för mej som uppfödare om jag ska ställa ut katten eller när det gäller att katten ska till veterinären för olika tester etc inför parning. Ibland kan det förefalla sej så att du som fodervärd måste åka med katten till veterinären för dessa tester, som jag givetvis betalar.

Vad gäller kostnader kring katten så står jag för alla kostnader kring avelsbiten och du som fodervärd alla kostnader kring katten.

Vi har alltid ett nära samarbete och en bra dialog med fodervärdarna så allt går att lösa.

General to be co-owner

Sometimes we are looking for foster parents for kittens.

We believe that cats not feel good beeing to big groups.

Each cat is an individual and to feel good and be happy. In large cats groups, it is easy to make it disagreement and a cat or repelled and is bullied. The stress increases enormously and the risk of disease increases. We make sure that the cats are peaceful and harmonious.That is everything in our breeding program.

Each cat has a right to be No. 1 and get all the love it deserves.

When seeking to foster parents, the personal chemistry is very important. I've had a couple of different foster parents which now last for a male. The pair have become very good friends to me / us.

Being co-owner is a big responsibility and not just a "free cat". We work only with half lining contracts.

What is then required of you who want to become co-owner?

We see that a requirement that you live in Stockholm, like the South Side.

You may not have fertile cats of the opposite sex. The risk of mating is to big.

You can´t have too many cats at home then you end up in exactly the same situation that we wanted to avoid.

We prefer that there is a show of interest but it is not required.

You stand as a companion for your cat's daily expenses. Food, pellets / sand, toys, scratching furniture, the annual vaccination etc. We stand for all the costs involved with breeding work to do. You should also be able to cooperate with us in terms of transport. For example, if you live on the other side of Stockholm and the cat must HCM scanned on your side of Stockholm, we can not leave here for veterinarian and then home again. You must have the opportunity to interact and then ride with the cat on the booked time.The current time are we talking about before so it fits you and your working hours, etc.

We wheel recommendation detailed contract that protects both the co-owner and us as breeders. Of which we each receive a signed example.

In female cats, we are looking primarily foster parents who have experience with kittens and all around and has the ability and desire to have kittens at home.

But then we have the requests that you stay within the maximum 3 mil from Tumba/Botkyrka when we want to be available all the time.
Of course we also be present at birth.

For males, we do not need the localarea to be as near as for a female because a male does not give birth to their young. But insted it is desirable to be able to bring home a female for mating, when the time comes or you can go with the male to female or bring the hammer back to me.

But you must know that the males are also little craft. They can become sexually mature early and are crying out for girls. Some more, some less. If you have bad luck so they can begin to mark indoors.
